While I was feeling marginally less like death warmed over, I found this interesting article which compares the digital revolution to that which arose around the printing press, and why people are so reluctant to face that change is inevitable: Newspapers and Thinking the Unthinkable. The author, Clay Shirky, makes some really useful points, and while ze doesn't focus on the breakdown of copyright, it's easy enough to see how that fits into the bigger picture.
Meanwhile, speaking of people not seeing the obvious, scientists are developing an invisibility cloak. For reals.
